Kyle Flood is a football coach who has most recently served as the offensive line coach for the University of Texas. He previously held the position of head coach at Rutgers University from 2012 to 2015.
Flood played college football as an offensive lineman at Iona College and then went on to coach at various colleges before landing the head coaching job at Rutgers. During his tenure at Rutgers, Flood led the team to two bowl game appearances and a share of the Big East Conference championship in 2012.
However, Flood's time at Rutgers was also marred by controversy, including player arrests and violations of NCAA rules. He was eventually fired from his head coaching position in 2015.
After leaving Rutgers, Flood went on to work as an assistant coach at the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia before joining the coaching staff at Texas. Kyle Flood is known for his expertise in coaching offensive linemen and has developed a reputation as a strong recruiter.
